FPFC offers the following American Red Cross Courses:
Explore a range of American Red Cross courses designed to build confidence, improve safety skills, and prepare you for real-world situations. Whether you’re looking to become certified, refresh your skills, or meet workplace requirements, our courses provide hands-on training led by experienced instructors.
From CPR and First Aid to Lifeguarding and instructor-level certifications, each course is structured to give you practical knowledge you can apply immediately—at home, at work, or in your community.

Babysitting
The primary purpose of the American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training course is to provide youth who are planning the babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic childcare and basic first aid. This training is designed for youths ages 11-15
Lifeguard
The primary purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding Course is to provide entry level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services personnel take over. Participants must be at least age 15 to participate.
Lifeguard Instructor
The primary purpose of the American Red Cross Basic Lifeguarding Instructor Course is to train instructors to each the basic level American Red Cross Lifeguarding courses. Participants must be at least age 17 to participate.
Water Safety Instructor
The purpose of the American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor course is to train instructor candidates to teach course and presentations in the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program by developing their understanding of how to use the course materials, how to conduct training sessions and how to evaluate participants’ progress. Participants must be at least age 16 to participate.
First aid/CPR/AED
The American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED program provides participants with the knowledge and skills they need to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. The course teaches participants the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed.
